This year’s Stewardship theme is “God’s Gifts.” We are all recipients of special favors from God. The only problem is that some recognize what they receive and others do not. The bookelet and on-line ministries list works for both groups.

If you are already aware of God’s love for you and the many blessings God has bestowed on you, you will want to use this booklet to find out new ways to say thanks to the Lord. In serving his people we not only give thanks but we multiply the gift. Like leaven in dough we increase the power of the Kingdom of God on earth.

If you do not consider yourself gifted, this brochure will open the door for you to enter the realm of God’s bounty. Paging through the booklet you should find many areas where you can come in contact with people who have multiple needs. Responding to those needs you will become enriched by experiencing the impact of gifts you did not even know you possessed. In addition, you will join with already active parishioners who can inspire you by their joy-filled giving of themselves to others. They will gift you with their friendship. Soon enough, you’ll become such a friend to others. Once again, God’s Will is done on earth as it is in heaven.

That is the point of all of this. St. Jude parish is established to make Christ and his kingdom present in our community. We only succeed when many people come together, give of themselves, serve each other, and receive the joy of the Lord. We all benefit far beyond the effort we put in.

In that light, this booklet may contain a message from God to you. Somewhere in these pages there is an opportunity for you to feel the loving presence of our risen Savior in your soul more strongly than you ever have before.
