HANDS ON SCIENCE

Mrs. McGirl got her 6th and 8th grade science classes involved in some hands on learning!

Sixth grade - Sixth grade students created a scale model of the solar system, designing a replica of each of the planets and placing them on the cafeteria wall. The model stretched from one end of the wall to the other. Students are shown standing near the "planets" they placed.

Eighth grade - Mrs. Fazio assisted Mrs. McGirl in teaching students how making homemade bread and butter is a science! Using various types of yeast and two different methods to make butter, students learned a lesson and feasted on its rewards.
