(return to this week's bulletin) 1ST COMMUNION First Holy Communion will be Sat., May 3, at 11:00 a.m. It was mistakenly listed as 9:00 a.m. in the church bulletin. HASA MEETING The final HASA meeting will be on Mon., May 5, at 6:30 p.m. in Seiner Hall. Please make plans to attend this final meeting of the school year. The agenda will include a SACS update from Mrs. Goodhard and drawing for the free book bill. This will be a brief but important meeting - see you there! MAY CROWNING May Crowning will be Wed., May 3, at 9:15 a.m. in the church. Remember to send your child with a flower that day with which to honor Mary. Parents are more than welcome to attend. The ceremony generally lasts about 30 minutes. LEADERSHIP MASS Leadership Mass will be Thurs., May 8, at 1:30 p.m. The 8th grade students will pass down their leadership role to the 7th grade. Everyone is welcome to attend. There will be no all-school Mass on Friday. STAMP OUT HUNGER The National Assoc. of Letter Carriers and the USPS are conducting their annual food drive on Sat., May 10. If you would like to help, you can send nonperishable food items in to your child’s classroom any day this week and our mailman will pick everything up on Fri., May 9. God bless you for your generosity. FINAL PIP REPORT Parents, the final PIP reports will be pulled and sent for tabulation on Wed., May 7 at noon. Please make sure that all of your hours have been properly entered on the logs located outside of the clinic. Remember that logs are organized by alphabet, your family numbers are located at the back of each clip board. If you will be providing service for activities after the 7th, please estimate the time you will be involved and include it on the report. Hours not logged by May 7 can't be counted on the final computer report. Thank you so much for the THOUSANDS of hours and the outpouring of dedication that you have given so far this year! PIP HOUR OFFER If you still need hours, here’s an easy way to get one – donate 2 multi-packs (6 – 10) of juice boxes for 8th grade Transition Day! OUT-OF-UNIFORM DAYS The out-of-uniform day awarded for donations to the Moonlight Escape class baskets has been changed due to May Crowning. The new date is Wed., May 14. MOONLIGHT ESCAPE DOOR PRIZE DRAWINGS The winner of the 2008/2009 Book Bill was Mona Bombassi. The winner of the $200 Savings Bond was Donna Picard. Congratulations! MOONLIGHT ESCAPE All the numbers are not in yet, but it looks like we had another successful year! Thanks to everyone who participated in making the evening fabulous and fun! Thanks to all the faculty, teachers, staff, event parents, volunteers, and the parents of St. Jude School. This event would not be possible without all of you! A very special thanks to Brad Grafton who prepared an outstanding menu! YEARBOOKS Yearbooks are in and will be going home shortly. If you did not order a yearbook and would like to do so now, a limited number is available in the office at a cost of $23. USED UNIFORMS If you would like to donate any clean used uniforms to the HASA used-uniform sale, simply put them in the box outside the school office. HASA funds go directly to the classrooms and facilities for continued improvements and supplies – thank you for your donations! *Sorry, we cannot take any type of Spirit Sale items, but we can accept the gym t-shirt and shorts. ATHLETICS Congratulations – the Golf team beat Boyd Buchanon on Mon. 192 – 207. There is a golf match May 1 at Valleybrook with Boyd Buchanon at 4 p.m. The ISC tournament is on May 5 at 4 p.m. at Concord Golf Course. BOOSTER CLUB MEETING There is going to be a Booster meeting on May 20 at 6:00 in the FLC. This will be the last meeting of the year and we need everyone there! ATTENTION 7TH GRADE PARENTS Remember to send in $5 or call about what to bring for the 8th grade graduation reception. Please send in your money or contact Lisa Dobson at 843-3517 by Mon., May 5.
