MY SCHOOL’S COOL!  Our parents rose to the occasion and St. Jude was able to pull up from bottom to win 2nd place from Northgate Mall’s “My School’s Cool” contest!  We will receive $3000 for classroom improvement.  Way to go, St. Jude!!!

REPORT CARDS  The last full day for students is Tuesday, May 25.  Reports cards may be picked up on Thursday, May 27, from 7:30 – 12 noon.  If you will not be in town to pick up your child’s report card, you may send in $1 for postage and handling and have it mailed.  Please make sure all accounts (lunch, tuition, private lessons, etc.) are up to date and that all library books, books rented, and sports uniforms are turn in or report cards WILL BE HELD.

AR OUT-OF-UNIFORM DAY  The AR out of uniform day for the fourth quarter will be on Wednesday, May 19.

ATTENTION RISING 5TH GRADERS  Please note - students in grade 5 are required to have the SJ PE uniform.  This must be purchased through our uniform company, Educational Outfitters.

YEARBOOKS  Yearbooks have gone home to all students who ordered one earlier this year.  There is a limited number of yearbooks still available in the office.  The cost is $26 for softcover and $30 for hardcover.  Many thanks to Alicia Bernarding for spearheading this massive project and to all the parents who helped – the yearbook looks AWESOME!!!

DANCE  Please join us for the end of the year dance performance, Saturday, May 15 at 3:30 in the Siener Hall.  There will be a short reception after the performance.

SUMMER READING LISTS  Lists with suggested reading for upcoming grades 1-5 are on RenWeb under Resource Documents.  Copies of the mandatory reading selections for upcoming grades 6, 7, and 8 will be in folders this week with other important papers.  They can also be found on RenWeb under Resource Documents.

SUMMER AR TESTING  Accelerated Reading testing will be offered in the computer lab on June 16 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., June 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., July 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on Sign-Up Day, August 5th, from 7:30 a.m. until noon.  Rising second graders are particularly encouraged to attend - this is a great chance to become familiar with AR testing.

ST. JUDE SUMMER CARE  If your child will be using Summer Care, you must register by May 21.  Registration forms are available from the office and the cost of registration is $25.  If your child will be attending VBS, you must sign up for that separately through the church office.  If you have any questions, please call Marcia Harris at 834-4668.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL  Have you signed up for Vacation Bible School?  “Baobab Blast” runs June 14-18, from 9 – 12.  Registration forms can be found in the back of the church or you can download one from the church website - stjudechattanooga.org.  Volunteers are still needed!  We need adults to chaperone small groups, lead crafts, storytelling, etc.  All ideas and supplies are provided.  Join the fun this summer!  Call Kyra Ross at 870-2386 for more info.
