Good sponsors are needed to walk the RCIA journey with Catechumens (unbaptized) and Candidates (baptized) who are interested in becoming Catholic. If you would like to sponsor someone, you will need to be confirmed, actively practicing your faith, and willing to make a weekly committment.

How does a sponsor "walk the RCIA journey"? Be a companion to one person in the process by sharing your Catholic faith, answering questions (No, you do not have to know ALL the answers!), praying regularly for your partner, attending RCIA sessions from September until Pentecost, and participating in the Rites.

This is a big committment, but one of the most rewarding ministries our Church offers. The Holy Spirit brings people together as partners.
